Veteran's Day has been set aside to honor those who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States. The date November 11th is symbolic as there was major turn around in World War I in the 11th our on 11/11/1918. Although the holiday itself coincides with Remembrance Day for WWI, it is actually for anyone who served in the Military at anytime in history.

I will be the first one to say that I do not always agree with the politics of war, but I also cannot take away from the character of those who voluntarily serve our country. Often times, those who serve loose the most while we civilians are awarded certain freedoms because of their sacrifices.

Thank you to any and everyone who has served. Thank you for the sacrifices you have made. Thank you for believing that this county's freedoms are something worth fighting for.
